Companion Cameras show what's happening in VR on your computer monitor. Usually, this is just a reflection of the VR display, but you can also switch between different camera types to experiment with new angles and perspectives.

You'll need to use screen-recording software like OBS to capture what's displayed on your monitor.

Accessing The Cameras

All the camera settings are located on the flat-screen menu. Once opened, click the Camera Menu tab at the bottom.

You should now find a list of available camera types to switch between.

To hide all the extra information on screen (e.g. the hamburger menu and version number), hit Shift-h

<aside> 🚨 Note that using anything other than the default camera will affect performance and should only be used with a high-end graphics card. Check the performance of the museum with the cameras on and off to get a feel for if you can use the different camera types.

360 Equirectangular

All cameras except the default support a 360 Equirectangular view. This is a mapping you can use to make 360 stills or videos. Turn on this mode with the 360 Equirectangular View check box on the camera menu.
